Yeah, but if the stripping is removed at the rear of the hood (the place shown in the pics), the water would just run to the firewall... In an area (College Station, TX) with PLENTY of rainfall... this could be a bad thing, right?

Any disadvantages to doing this? The people who made this car might have put it there for a certain reason.... Are the advantages of removing this piece large enough to outweigh anything bad? I'm always naysaying... damnit.. gotta be more optimistic..

Hold on, I made this thread with no intentions of a pissing contest. Don't start one yet... this thread is really paying off, but not by doing this. ;) Thanks to both SPOOL and iON for the info so far.

So, any big differences between these two? I don't know which to go with. If you get both the FMIC and CAI at the same time, both cost around the same. I'd guess that both would deliver the same pwer increase... but I don't know anything else besides that.... Any comments?

$18,000 even was the final price. I didn't get most of those insurance thingies.... got a friend of the family who works at Farmers.
