The JDM Mazdaspeed damper for the Mazda5 and Mazda3, share the same part number as the US Mazdaspeed Mazda3 damper. I think a better guess would be that they were designed to work with the slightly lower Mazdaspeed springs.

Dampers are the same p/n and the springs are different. At least in the '07 JDM catalog. I'm not sure about the '08 catalog. The Mazdaspeed dampers are the same part numbers, so I'd assume they are the same length. You could check the parts department and if the stock ones share the same p/n...

Pirelli P-Zero Nero 225/40-18. Rides and handles excellent. Needs to be wider to protect the rim from the curb.
