    Rear Plate Bolts

Guys, Did you guys get bolts for the rear license plates that actually bolt up in the trunk lid holes. The dealer gave me some wood screws with an obviously very different thread. Thanks, Ric

    DownPipe for the CX-7

Grantman, So, you now have a downpipe without the first cat and a midpipe without the second cat, correct? What do you have for a muffler....stock? Your car must be fast as heck!

    91 octance 300-335miles on tank

If you want to drive conservatively, you need to keep the RPMs below 2500. That alone will bring your MPGs up quite a bit. Anything above that and you are hurting your wallet big time. I consistently get 20-21 MPGs all "light" city driving, with the occasional WOT run....I don't want the car to...

Big problem with my CX7. Spark plug Fouled. Help

I saw better mileage on 87-89 in the winter than with 93. I saw better performance with 93 during the hotter months. I agree with your statements. Rick

    Regular Gas for 2008 CX7

Well, I totally agree with techspeaks comments. The thing most people here need to understand is the total control the ECM has on these cars. The minute the computer detects something "weird" it shuts the throttle partially or completely; not to mention timing, fuel, etc. The best way to...

    Regular Gas for 2008 CX7

Thank you for reporting this Nash! It confirms my beliefs that under normal to moderate driving, the CX-7 will do ok with 87 or 89 octane gas. For max performance though, 93 should be used, especially in the summer months. Also, with crude oil at $130/barrel, I suspect more and more people here...

    Cartridge Filter Dilemma

BTW, the best solution to this problem is to spend the $50 or so and retrofit to "old" style metal can filters. Rick

    Cartridge Filter Dilemma

I think between the pressure put on the filter by the compressed spring plus the frictional forces when turning the cap, the filter is unable to prevent twisting. There is nothing there to prevent the media from twisting. The center core, in my opinion does nothing because the filter would never...

    Cartridge Filter Dilemma

Ed, The Motorcraft made filter DOES have a center support, still that didn't prevent the filter from twisting. I installed a Wix, just like the one shown above. To be honest, I don't think the center support is going to help this issue. The filters are "twisting"......not collapsing. I think...
