Maybe It's the benifit of living in Canada, but I've smoked every Si-r, Spec-V, 1.8T and SVT I've come across, Usually by at least 2-3 car lengths by 3rd gear. And a stock MP3, twice with at least 4-5 car lengths. Glad to be Canadian.

Jroof, the drop/hesitation of power only happens under WOT, but I have heard other people w/ turbo cars complain of the same thing you mentioned. Aswell as when quick shifting without keepin the revs up. Your right those things have alot to do with driving style and not the car.
