Need help with my protege5. Like I had my motor build but when the engine got back in the engine bay, I turn the car on and it started up just fine but when I put it in gear, the axles didn't rotate so then I shut it off but once when I wanted to start it up again, a ground wire started to heat...

anybody please help me!!!!! need to know the specs for the bolts that you bolt the transmission to the engine block, I need the specs for those bolts.

Also, if i do get new rod bearings, will i need to check for the clearance from the crankshaft??

I got a P5 and im changing the piston rings but found out my rod bearings are kinda bad and i was wonder if i could reuse.them but by smoothing them out???

hey Wildo, im in the same situation right now hahaha. did you had to take the shafts off the tranaxle or did you manage to pry the tranaxle alittle to manage to get to the 2 bolts???

i did it myself. either way, i took my head to a machine shop to get it repair if it was damaged but hey told me that there was nothing wrong with it. eveything was just on the spec. so i had no other option but the piston rings going bad like what else could let the oil get in the chamber?

no im not planing on boosting my motor. i just wanna leave it stock. i just wanna fix that smoke issue thats all

Well it's because I was burning oil and I thought it was from my cylinder head but once when I got it back from the machine shop, they told me that it was all good and nothing was bad so from there it has to be my piston rings. That's why I'm asking about the connecting rod bolts if I can reuse...

When you wanna take the pistons out to replace them, would you need to replace the connecting rod bolts or can I reuse them?

No it can't be because it's coming from the throttle body, not underneath the car

It occurs when your not in motion but have the engine running. I heard it coming from the throttle body but I don't know what it could be.

Hey, can anyone tell me (if you had this kind of issue before) that whenever I turn my steering wheel, there is a thumping noise coming out of the throttle body. I still haven't taken off my cold air intake yet. Does anybody have an idea what could it be?
