    Warped Rotors?

you're not alone. ours is doing the same @ 30k km. pretty weak if you ask me. i've never had a problem w/ the discs on my 218k km 1992 Jetta. i'm going to raise a little s*** on this one. me thinks given the weight of the vehicle more heavy duty rotors would have been obvious. add in the weight...

    Would you do it again?

at this point I'm leaning toward no. too many niggiling things that distract from the new car experience. Creaks in the windshield at cold temps, creaking suspension, clicking noises (A/C i think), Intermittant losses of power under acceleration, creaking from the B-pillar mounts for the sliding...

WHAT I did'nt hear you?!! trade ya for my 92 jetta. ;) the 5 is real quiet but that just makes any squek that much more noticable.

b pillar squeak anyone else w/ this?

I have an annoying squeak. It's @ the B pillars on both sides.right behind my ear. I figured out that the little rubber guide on the rear doors where they mount in on the B pillar squeak @ low temps. It's been 3C here for the last little while. Happens over low speed bumps and on higher speed...

    Toyos Suck...looking for something else

better than the Proxes 4's in the wet by a mile. the TPT's durometer rating is a 320 but the rubber feels harder than that. apart from that, the TPT's are fine. I think someone mentioned on here that the OEM toyo's are as a rule, generally pretty poor. I find that for where I live a tire w/ a...

    Toyos Suck...looking for something else

ya i've got them on my jetta. not bad. I had dunlop A2 sports on it before and loved them. the toyos don't pump the h2o the way the dunlops did. only problem is they don't make them any more.

    Toyos Suck...looking for something else

the toyo's are attrocious. had the 1st 'real' bit of rain up here and I almost swapped ends on the 5, TWICE!! on the same drive!!! drifts pretty slow and has a longer wheelbase than i expected. was able to catch it both times but F-me !!! Time for some new rubber!! anyone have any experience w/...

View from the back (2d row) seat

cool!! just tried this and damn. It's a lazy boy!!. As far as not being recommended... you are still wearing your seat belt so i doubt there's any laws broken. That being said the seatbelt wouldn't be nearly as effective. but as you said life is short and it's way to comfortable not to.

    Mazda 5 Paint Quality

environmentally friendly makes sense to me but what happens when your car starts rusting out. seems to me that the environmental costs of producing another panel ( exploration, extraction, processing, milling, pressing, welding, shipping and finally replacing) run counter to the whole idea of...

    Mazda 5 Paint Quality

the paint job is done w/ some new enviromentally friendly process. great for the environment, crappy for the car. most paper thin paint job i've ever seen. Mazda should be ashamed to call this a paint job. more like a light misting of paint.

i pooched my oil pump in my 92 jetta w/ an overfill. luckily changing it out was easy and cost $100. still, an expensive mistake.
