How To: Remove Roof Rack (P5)

No. You dont need the filler strips. Youd have two 1"x1" troughs down the roof tho. Maybe make sure youve got the holes in the troughs sealed up well to prevent water getting into the interior.

How To: Remove Roof Rack (P5)

IMO I don't know how bolts will fit under the strips,...you just TAPE over the holes, use a quality tape, being under the strips it will never see the sun.

How To: Remove Roof Rack (P5)

?,...what are you going to take off for just the summer,?, clarification please. This thread has evolved into a how-to on removing the US version roof rack and replacing it with the Canadian version roof fill strips(which fit flush to the roof surface). You can remove the US style cross bars...

    US roof rack

Wow,you must be a Yakima salesman or ?. The Mazda rack is perfectly good unless you are incapable of figuring how to tie things down. Some people need an off the rack(pun intended) solution for everything,... The cross bars are quite oval in cross section(aero!?), but they even have an embedded...

    US roof rack

You can trade your roof "fill strips" for the US roofrack and all the associated goodies. A number of us have done this trade/swap. There is a very good thread on this in the "how-to" section.

Mazda sold a LOT of MP5's in all markets other than the U.S.,(market share?!) this is common with small, more fuel efficient vehicles,...Americans generally go for bigger vehicles. Here in Canada the MP5 sales were throught the roof. The MP5 is/was a tremendous value and has a huge fun/style...

    P5 snow virgin....

If your driving on snow with the stock SP5000's, do yourself a favour,...pick a solid immovable object close to home, you know,...walking distance,...brace yourself and just drive straight into it,...it will save any collateral damage and the travel inconvience.

    Question on lowering

Wow,...some very negative posts here,...of course you can cut your stock springs,...it's been done FOREVER, I mean as long as coil spring suspension has been around. Jeez,...if the springs are already on the car you can heat the springs and let the weight of the car bend them down to acheive the...

    msp rims!!

I'm not a fan of the "Colour of the month/year" wheel colour thing(f**k, Black as a custom wheel colour???,...I guess if your going for the stock, no plastic wheelcover/steelie/winterbeaterwheel look!!)...IMO straight alloy or polished alloy/stainless is timeless.
