Finally took care of my curb rash wheels. Painted them up nice :)
Tried to sand them down pretty good but some spots still showed thru :(
The car is dirty but the wheels rock
So pretty much daily this was happening to me. And each time it happened I would check the code (laptop next to me) and then clear it. and it would come back within 50-75 miles. then one day I stopped clearing it and it stopped happening. (oh and my MPG went from 26 to 28-29 so bonus) Now i just...
I have done all that except the new cat. (can't afford it, and stopped caring)
The real fun is that I was clearing the CEL (which clears the ECU, fuel maps etc.) and it would always seem to happen within say 50 miles and then nothing. I would clear the light and again. So i stopped clearing it...
So I've spent the last few tanks of gas not shutting off the CEL and my fuel mileage has gone up. ugh. I'm about to just disconnect the damn light and keep on driving.
Yes mine where for fronts, stock length on an MP3. I used the OP's joints and got most of the rest of the stuff from either fastenal or like I said I called up Tony at AWR and got the Orings and washers from him
No local emissions tests in my area :) horay for hilbillies. Anyway I may just get an OBX header, figure out how to deal with the cat delete CEL and be done with it. I'm tired of messing. I've spent a month on it.
Update. I've swapped for a friends set of known good plugs, coils, and wires. No change! I am out of ideas.
Original poster (p5pusher), What did the shop tell you? did they fix it?
I have this same issue. I have been live monitoring this as I drive with a laptop. I get two codes. Often it is just p0421 which is just the "warmup catalyst is below threshold (bank 1)" this can come up all on its own and there seems to be no noticeable driving issues. Then some times it comes...
