Sorry, for the late response but I've been out of town. I just set them on the roof to see what they would look like then removed them for the trip. I've been looking for fairings myself. The 44" one touches both rails and would probably rub. If I replace it, I'm looking at the 38" so it fits...
Just got Thule Crossroad 450 foot pack. So I dropped the rack on to the rails for a look. The fairing is to big need a smaller one. The same rack I used on my Mz5, minus the footbeds.
I have the same feeling but if you buy a new vehicle, stuff should work. I just wish they made the "Sport Model" with the 2.5l engine. Would have save me a couple grand. Ha

Thanks. Really liked the utility of the M5 but it was getting up in miles, a little low and under powered for what I was using it for. The CX5 should be perfect. I had to have something I could sleep in 5-10 nights a year on my trips. So far I love it and the MPGs are a big plus.
1st Post. Out with the old (Mazda5), in with the new. Already installed Curt hitch for the bike rack. Roof rails with Thule Crossroads to come, along with OEM all-weather mats.
