    How-To: Cleanly install a Non-Factory CX-5 Trailer Harness

There are plenty of threads dedicated to installing the hitch itself. I didn't feel I had anything to add. It is the Curt model, I don't recall the rated capacity. Total cost was something around $220 with almost everything bought from amazon.com

    Question on towing a boat

You don't know me and I don't know you. My opinion may mean nothing to you but it comes from many years of boat ownership and thousands of miles towing them with a few different vehicles. I currently own a boat similar to that Tahoe you posted first. Like you, I'm also a father and the safety...

    What Accessories To Get?

If your only reason for the mirror is the ability to lose your garage door opener then consider a Flash2Pass. I have one on both cars and my motorcycle, they work great. Installation is pretty simple and once its set up just two flashes of your high beams opens/closes the garage door.

Resolution to CX-5 "USB Error" message

If you're right that would be big news. Do you know anyone with an iPod you could use to try it?

    Window jammed

If it's not ice, what else would it be? I can't imagine the cold changes the amount of friction between the window and the seal that much on it's own. And I doubt it's a function of cold metal contracting and creating a bind somewhere. I could be wrong about all this, but what exactly would...

    How-To: Cleanly install a Non-Factory CX-5 Trailer Harness

Another member asked me how I installed my trailer light plug and after typing it up and sending him a PM it was suggested that I post this in the how-to section. Hopefully this can help someone out. First, I installed one of these and ran it through a pre-existing hole in the body under...

Blind Spot Monitoring and trailer towing

I'll send you a PM As does the US version I just looked at. I didn't think to look there before posting this thread. So it is most likely the trailer, good to know that is probably normal behavior and nothing is wrong. Thanks!

Blind Spot Monitoring and trailer towing

I know what you're saying, but I drove it a bit today without the trailer in the same weather on the same roads and it didn't happen once.

Blind Spot Monitoring and trailer towing

I've been 'borrowing' the CX-5 from the wife this week and had some things to haul around. I used my small utility trailer and noticed the BSM was acting up a bit while driving today. It happened mostly on the drivers side (about 4-5 times) but did happen on the passenger side (maybe twice)...

    Extreme Temperatures

pics or it didn't happen (poke) I can't beat either number. I bought the car right before winter started so I haven't had it for summer yet and when it gets that cold I do everything in my power to stay on the couch with a blanket and the dog.

    Issues with windshield wiper fluid?

This. Of course my second guess is obviously the Japanese blog.

Trunk light fuse? Need help, not working

I'd like to take this comment, blow it up in big letters like the Hollywood sign, then dance naked around it because it's just that good. Bottom line is this, if you don't understand some basic electrical theory DON'T MESS WITH YOUR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM!

Takes forever for the car to warm up ??

This topic seems odd to me. The car takes a little longer to warm up than our other car and past cars (a Trailblazer and a Dakota) but that always made sense to me (as was previously pointed out its a small 4 cylinder). What my wife and I have both noticed however is just how much warmer it is...
