ABS working? pumping feelings on brake pedal

i hadn't brake hard on my car until recently, one time it's sand n small chips on the road surface, the other times when it was raining, i braked harder than usual, and i feel the brake pedal is like pumping under my foot - is it the ABS working or something else? thanks

ABS is a pulsating force, not pumping. It feels like there are rocks embedded in one spot of the rotor... pretty rough.

excuse my wordings, yes it's like a plusating force, ugh, so it's the ABS. my first car with ABS.

and the key is to not get freaked out when this happens - like most people do!!!!

if it starts, let it carry on - just keep your foot jammed down until you stop (well i presume your stopping!!)
