I've had to change my tires like 5 times since november. punctures and all. and now I can't find the Kumho Ecsta SPTs anymore. and the only sizes for the other Ecstas are 205/50R16 and I need to know if they'll fit properly before I buy them. thanks

they will fit, but won't handle as good as 195/50's - the 205's are a little wider, and a little taller

I got the 205/45R16 Kumho Ecsta SPTs <---- I love the SPTs! so I'm going to slap the 205s on the back and bump the 195s to the front. I hope it won't be much of a difference. and I got the 45 for the height/width ratio. they guy on the phone reminded me of that.

SPT ftw!

205/45 is going to be slightly smaller in diameter than the 195/50's, just so you know - i wouldn't put "staggered" sizes on my car

just DONT put one of each on the front!!!!! this will wear out the diff.. and i run 215-45-16 azenis on the stockers, ther shoehorned on, but lots of yummy grip for the twisties....

so what you're saying is to put the 205/45s on the front? and the 195/50s on back? I'll get more 205/45s later when I can afford them and I feel as tho I like the way they ride. or if the 195/50s ever come back, I'll get those. I paid $70 for the 195 at the beginning of the year. now the 205s cost me $90 (I didn't expect that). and I may jus get a wheel and tire package for around $800 come september (hopefully)

I have 205/50 R16 BFgoodrich Traction T/A. I figure I have no problem with the thickness of the side wall because they are steel reinforced. They are AA traction rated. You would have no problem having them fit on stock rims. I figure 215/45 R16 may just fit, but you may need different rims. Also if the 215/45 R16 tires just fit I would imagine lowering the car would cause issues.

There are tons of stock blue P5s around here so I can't ID you. But if you see me, feel free to say hi! :)

I've had 205/50/16's on the car for 30k now (Fuzion ZRI) & have had no issues at all. Haven't noticed any change in hadling & it actually improved my speedo accuracy....(drive)

I had 205/50/16's on my honda prelude (stock size). You guys are agreeing that those tires will fit on my stock MP5 polished rims?

Yes, 205/50/16's fit fine on stock P5 rims. That is the size I have on my stock polished P5 rims.

hehe i'm running it right now wit my kumho ecsta asxs xD just like how it says in my signature xP it makes the ride slightly less rough from what i learned but as other people said, it will have a slight handling change.

1st:205/50 will fit on stock rims
205/45 too (obvious)
215/45....height is good but...minimal rim width with 215 is 7 inches and stock rims are 6 inches...that is what is recommanded by the tire manufacturer

2nd:205/50 will be taller so: more roll? maybe or maybe not because if your tire have a stiffer sidewall it will be ok but if you got like wal mart tires...stay with 195/50

3rd:205/45 will be smaller in height so bumpier ride but smaller sidewall = less roll (except if you got wal mart tires again)

4th:215/45 damn it will be large on stock rims... try to get some 16x7 inch rims to do that

5th:I'm gonna buy 205/50VR16 tires tomorrow or friday and they will be some

Dunlop Direzza DZ101

OR

Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+F1+GS-D3

Dunlop is cheaper but grab more on dry
Goodyear is $$$$ but grab more on wet

like we say...PILE OU FACE?(enguard)

this is what a 205/50/16 looks like. doesnt handle nearly as well as my 215/40/17's
