What have you done to your MSP today?

i had a misfire for a while and it didnt show up on CEL until it got bad. If you can get 93, try that. if not, then toss in a splash of e85 and see what happens. no more than a gallon. id say a half gallon would be OK

your msp does? oh wait you mean your msm..... GTFO phen.

hehehehe im kidding. my protege cruises at about a 10.5

Yeah... but my MSM is using the same old ass technology as the MSP... so my car is closer to it than your new fangled car is. :p

Maybe you guys can help me out with my MSP issue, since the Help section is a bit lacking in act

And for those wanting more pictures of the skid plate, here ya go.

I might have to screw around with some of the other presets that are on the ss thread in here. I've been running it like that for a year now, but I justed went to 9psi and finally installed the uego wideband.

I'm not sure why but my car started to run richer after a while and reloading the map onto the AFC made all the difference in the world.

It is worth a shot to re-load the super stock map or even try the FMIC map. It sounds like you are on the stock tune with afr's that rich.

why do people insist on using other peoples maps instead of making your own...? every car is different, especially when they have different mods, your car will react differently and you could be doing damage without knowing it.

exactly. load a base map, then modify it. dont just flash and go. flash a map that is similar to your mods and then tamper with it.

That's what I plan on doing. I'm not just going to slap a random map on. I don't have data log option so I need to run it under load with someone in the car and adjust it as we go. Phen and I are going to mess around with it later. I'm just glad I'm running really rich rather than really lean.

looks like about an inch lower than the subframe, is that correct?
I'll measure for you when I get home tonight.

Has anyone replaced the factory alarm/keyless entry system? The one on my black MSP appears to be all whacked out. I might take it to the dealership to see if they can tell me what's wrong.

I replaced mine with an aftermarket one after mine went funky on me. Don't forget to check the fuse, it's under rear hatch wiper or something like that in the manual. The first time I had a problem it was just the fuse, the next time it was pretty much shot.

dealer wanted to charge me $80 to re-program it...

there is a re-programming guide somewhere here on 247 its pretty easy to do. i even bought another one off ebay and programmed it myself.

Um, that's what I did? I chose the FMIC map which lists basically the exact mods I have and the AFRs are solid. Been running it for over a year no problem.

finally did my first track day

Think my tires have a slight flat spot from sitting for a few months... get a wump wump wump wump sound when driving, especially at low speeds....

Hopefully it wears off... these are brand new tires....

unless a s*** alignment could cause that....havent had the car aligned since doing all the suspension work.
