What have you done to your MP3 today???

yeah this threads been pretty dead. my mp3's death anniversary just passed.

ya mines getting around $1500 worth of parts. does anybody know where i can get a urethane bumper at? all i can find is fiberglass or the ugly ones with the weird lip coming off the side. also does anybody know a ball park on what mazda would charge for a respray? im expecting $2000 ish. also where can i find oem rims? i cant seem to find them anywhere or should i just go with after market rims?

and sad to hear that 323 i would probly cry if i ever wrecked my car
 
are you looking for a front or rear bumper? you can prolly find them on ebay. dont know what mazda would charge for a respray. wasn't aware they repainted cars. OEM rims, you're going to have to find them used which is hard to come by these days when looking for mp3 wheels. i didn't wreck it, a 17 year old girl that didn't see a yellow car with yellow fogs failed to yield and ran into me :p
 
Front bumper I realised today that its not mazda but a dealerships repair center I'm gona go Friday for an estimate. And I had an older woman rear end me at a stop light because she didn't see me. Its a bright ass yellow car how can you not see it? Lol I got away with a scratched up rear bumper though
The curb rash on my rims are horrible I'm not sure if its even fixable at this point. Id really like to smack the previous owner of this poor car. Its been wrecked pretty bad before I know but it was never reported to carfax

The only bumpers I've seen on ebay are fiberglass which I'm not gona settle for I'm trying to get everything fixed and up to par so I can start piecing together a turbo :)
 
you'd be surprised at how well some places fix rims. try looking around for a local shop.

edit: well you are in virginia, don't know which part, but i hear these guys do excellent work. my friend used them before. they're located in virginia beach

I live in staunton so other side of va lol there's only one place that I know of that does powdercoating I want to see if they can fix them if not I suppose shipping to va beach shouldn't be too bad
 
Hey I'm back! Long time I have not posted. Culridr, you are not the one who trashed the MP3 in these parts are you? There is someone selling a bunch of used MP3 parts for a totaled MP3. I will also be prepping my car for storage. This summer did not go so well for the MP3, in spring the MP3 got keyed top to bottom, and one side of my truck (and pretty about 10 other cars in the parking lot). Kinda ruined summer really. But I now have a garage and I will be working on the car through winter. Unfortunately I wont be able to do the big upgrades I have been dreaming about (Turbo), I have quite a few maintenance things to do to the car like, bushings, end links (what? really? on the MP3?), motor mounts and well.. paint.

I will definitely be back on this site! (i'm surprised my user name still worked!!)
 
Nope, she's safely stored away for the winter... although I did hear there is an MP3 at the Kenny-U-Pull though. Where did you see all the used parts?

Edit: nm, saw the ads on Kijiji/UsedOttawa... probably from the same car though...

there was an mp3 at kenny's i have the intake manifold from it sitting in my car in storage, not sure if the car is still there or not.
 
Stupid kennys. hahah Doesnt seem to have much left that is worth taking though. How many of us have one in Ottawa? like seriously. haha
 
im here!!! i wish i could store my mp3 for the winter! i know the last owner did every winter so im grateful on how good she still looks.... this is what i do with it during the summer
