Well my lights finally came in took the old oznium leds out and now putting these bad boys in, This is not completed yet as I got home late tonight but here you can see for yourself how it looks so far.

Due to the way most cameras dont capture the full light output trust me on this one, these things are bright. I just have to correct the corner light so they are all focused at 45 degrees output but heck they are exactly like the audi s8 drl lights. For more info see the DIY guide I posted in the how to section *if ordering the lights they now offer them prewired as you can see I am trimming the wire so the end result is neat I was just taking these pictures to show you.

The lights are here
https://www.ebay.com (commissions earned)

they are 10mm 40 degree 5 chip 100ma at 280kmcd

you will also have to purchase the led holder
https://www.ebay.com (commissions earned)

you will also need a 1/2" drill bit to make the holes on the fog light platic cover housing then is just a matter of running cable the lights are prewired and also have built in resistor all you have to do is wire them to battery and a push style rocker switch and also if you want turn signal relays

*Finished Pictures*

Heres the finished end result

why do you need a stupid switch like that? what you done is cool but the switch is just totally out of place.... wire the s*** up to the parking lights and get rid of the parking lights doubled onto the turn signals... make the turn signals just turn signals which is the way the JDM and euro cx7s work!

Very nice. Can you give us more insight on how you wired them?
Is it poissible to tap in all of them into parking lights?

They are going to be wired to turn signal but only using relays. The reason I have the so called "Jelly Bean stupid switch is because" well not sure to be honest but the car is leased so at the end of the lease its going back to normal which is no biggy I bought enough lights to last me a while. and the Black oem housing I can get a set cheap from a local dealership. I did put the switch as a way to turn them off in the event one of the men in blue decides to harass me about having bright leds on at night hey you never know. the switch is going to be left on and tucked away behind the fuse compartment so nobody will know about it but me and well you guys now. But it is going to be wired to turn signal and on ignition start.

***if anyone is attempting to do this please dont rush the project think before anything at least twice. and remember our cars have curviture front bumper so you need to drill the holes in an angle so the lights face forward and not to the sides very important step here. Also doesnt hurt to use crafts glue to seal in the lights at the back from any moisture simple glue gun does the job.***

Look at this picture see they are prewired and the resistor for each light is already attached at the base of the led light. now what I did was joined all the positives to one side and joined the negative to opposite then use a quick disconnect male ends and crimp them. Then I ran two main lines 16gauge cables with female quick disconnect ends crimped. In my current case one positive to the car battery and the negative line from the switch load line. Then at the switch connect the negative line from battery so when you hit the switch the lights come on and off.

*this pic below is before final end result

some of the most retarded conversations ive ever had have been on the side of the road with cops. and im even taking into consideration conversations with actual retards... (bang)(bang)

thanks for the pictorial write up, its great. if I do mine im thinking of having them switched (switchable) but otherwise always on with the engine as DRL.

Nice take on the LED lights.

Just redid my wife's with a strip style... will have to get new pics.

EDIT: Here's some pics of my wife's new lights.

I still think these came out very nice integrity... any shots of them on with the fogs? Those are some massive LEDs...

Guys I no longer have my cx7 recently people have been sending me PM msgs on how to links expired yatti yatti. I will make a final post later on tonight with complete instructions and updated links to the ebay store etc, wiring diagrams complete with on and off switch (<<Due to the porky pigs pulling people over>>) so having a switch is not a bad idea.

And as for why did I get rid of this car well my car was a lemon from the start too many problems. but here is a summary of the probs. The car total in a 2yr span has been repaired over 23 Times at the dealership. I nearly blew up one time because mazda svc tech was doing the fuel neck line tsb in the beginning and told me my tank was full so he had to drain it and forgot when he refilled it to plug the fuel pump in correctly or something so while driving half a tank of gas ended up all over the engine area and road way car towed fire dept cleaned up road. Anyway too many problems warranty not long enough on mazda and cars fuel mileage is awful heck the nissan murano is a v6 same hp output and better mileage.

So I am just rolling with the company car for now saving to get a house and maybe getting a new EVO MR or Hatchback WRX STI anyway good luck to everyone here and as promised I will make my last post later on when I get home from work
