I'll start out by saying it's good that you're ok, but you've said MANY things in this thread that make me believe you have some misconceptions about driving. And don't take this as some old guy giving you a lecture, I'm a young guy too and up until a couple years ago was into street racing and all that stuff.
so theres no way i could have gotten up to obnoxious speeds that would be passed normal street/freeway speeds, because there just isnt room to do so.
im not quite fully sure how this happened being that i wasnt driving above 60, and even if i was this still shouldnt have happened. 60 i s normal freeway speed, what if this happened on the freeway?
fast to me, isnt freeway speeds. fast is like 80-90 miles an hour. this would have happened if i was on the freeway. so basically. it was inevitable.
Over and over you talk about freeway speeds. YOU WERE NOT ON THE FREEWAY. Freeways have higher speed limits because they are designed to. They have less ups and downs, and curves that are not as sharp as normal roads.
You seem to have it in your head that you cannot crash as long as you do not exceed 60 MPH. You constantly say this magic number and "I wasn't going above 60, therefore I had control of the car".
apparently the cops concluded that it was my fault without even talking to me. just because im 17 and a male. its automatically my fault. im not blaming them, i just wished they would have contacted me somehow
It was a single vehicle accident, who's fault could it possibly be if not yours!?!?!? The curb, the ditch?
55-60 is a speed that anyone can handle a car at.
Again this magic number of 60 at which nobody can crash. You have to base your speed on the conditions and the type of road. There is no specific number that "anyone can handle a car at".
Meaning that I would need to travel with the pedal on the floor for about 14 seconds before I hit speeds at which I had no control over the car.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, it's not like as soon as you hit 100 MPH you no longer have control of the car.
It constantly seems as if you think driving is based on numbers. Anything under 60 is ok all the time, anything over 100 is unreasonable all the time.
As I was coming over the hill, there is a left curve, nothing a modern car cant handle.
Your fancy new car does not defy the laws of physics. Yes it handles better than an old car, but how could you possibly type this sentence? Obviously the car COULDN'T handle it, since you crashed.
Again, I'm not trying to be a dick, but you seem to have a ridiculous concept of driving a car, and I worry you won't be here to post next time.
