About a can will do all the trims on the rear of the trunk + valence. 2 cans if you wana do multiple layers for a better finished look
Just a post to update. This August will be 1 year with the dip being on the car. It's holding up well so far!
Gonna be redipping the car a new color this summer with tons or pearls!!

Thinking of painting my p5 trunk black. How many cans of plasti dip will cover the entire trunk?
That looks awesome man. I can imagine how much of a hassle is it to clean it without accidentally pealing it lol
I did, problem is I'm in Canada and they don't ship here
i think it's gonna look like you pieced the car together with body panels off a different car
Yeah, how's washing the car?
I'm about 80% convinced that I will be doing my entire car within the next month or 2.
its actually quite easy.
I'm using a 2400 psi washer and it doesn't peel off. and I am using a medium pressure end piece for the gun as well. I don't even dry the car except for the windows since it can't get water spots.
I've reduced my washtime from 1.5 hours to less than 20 minutes
Just gotta make sure you lay the dip down heavy (coat wise)
and then the corners and edges need to have a solid coat as well: (Spot spraying) the dip for those areas while it's still wet when dipping the car.
Other than that, I highly recommend the matte clear coat on top of the dip or the glossifier. Makes the cleaning process even faster and easier.
I hate platidip so much, not because its not a good product, but because I cant ******* use it lol I have tried a few times with terrible results
I can use a spray gun, spray paint, wrap pretty much anything, but plastidip just blows my mind. Tried to plastidip the stock wheels the other day, couldnt do it.
Stopped halfway through because it looked terrible. Is the texture supposed to have like small air bubble looking holes in it? or is it supposed to be smooth...all I get is the air bubbley texture. Its weird
Ok cool...i think im not waiting long enough between coats. Im very impatient so Ill have to try to wait a little extra just in case.
Ill give the stock wheels a shot again and let you guys know how it goes
