Rolling Fenders

Hello,

What's the real meaning of 'rolling fenders?'

How is the process done and are there any negatives in doing so?

I understand the reason to do so, but never quite understood how it is done.

Thanks

It should look the same as before you started rolling the fender, it's just for clearance as needed with larger wheels.

Take the small end of a baseball bat... roll the lip in the rear of your vehicle. TA DA fenders rolled.

Thanks guys.

The best site I found is www.rollyourfenders.com

Lots of picture and information. Although I find that some late model German cars cannot use this process anymore as there is no longer a backwards 'L' lip inside the fender. Sometimes the finish of these cars are so well put together they cover it with the fender lining and there is no hint of the backwards 'L' lip, hence no room to 'roll'. I mean, if i do push the fender any further, it will simply be a diaster even using this tool and process with the heat gun.

I don't know how to by pass this issue when rubbing with different model cars. It's only application to most Japanese cars or older models.
