Hey guys, I'm trying to help out a friend, hes got a 350z and painted his find flat black with spray paint. He wants to take it off now without hurting the rim's original paint, any suggestions?
You're probably SOL. Aircraft remover would take all of the paint off.
You *might* (and this will sound weird) try brake fluid. I know it eats through spray paint like crazy. I have accidentally splashed it on a wheel before to no ill effect. It is worth a try on a small unobtrusive spot. It might dissolve the spray paint and not the underlying finish.
