New battery too tall?

I got a replacement battery and it seems about half an inch taller than the old one. I can get the battery tie down to go over it, but just barely, and when it's tightened the tie down bracket is visibly bent. I checked with dealer and they said it is definitely the right battery, so is this just normal?

Is this on a proteige? Id goto oreilys auto parts ask them what battire your vehical takes an check it it should be like 3 or 2 sections of numbers. But it sounds like they dident know wtf they were doing. Do all work by yourself or a trusted machanic, or me: ) even dealers dont no what theyre doing sometimes
