Mazda 5 clutch master cylinder replacement instructions needed

The master cylinder for my Mazda 5 '08 seems shot, does anyone have information on the procedure to replace it and bleed etc.? I found the cylinder inside the car but seems I need to remove the battery plus perhaps air filter housing to get to the brake system under the hood. Instead of just digging around I thought of asking the community here.
Any information would be great.

Make sure to dig through the Mazda3 sections as well, layout and procedure should be 90+% the same.
(I'm new to this car myself as a hobby mechanic, never touched a hydraulic clutch, sorry.)

BTW, I managed to replace the master cylinder, not a pleasant job unless you are a contortionist, the removal of the master from the pedal was the difficult part.
