Help! My dad doesn't want my Protege!

Hey all. So I made a deal with my dad that if I fixed the tranny on his Subaru Forester, he would trade me my Protege for his Forester. The only thing is, he doesn't like the performance difference. I know I'll never be able to get 2.5L performance out of a 1.6L engine but what do you suggest I do? Torque is a big thing. Got the tranny fixed today and he's starting to back down on his end of the bargain, thanks in advance!

If only I had the know-how..but to be honest, a protege that has 161K miles on it and some body damage isn't worth a turbo IMO haha

O theres plenty of info to solve the know how on here.... and yea i c what u mean with the high mileage engine and all... maybe a swap then turbo!!!! haha

I heard the klze doesnt take too well to turbocharging due to the high compression. if you want a turbo then turbocharge a klde

hey well if its that old just swap it out to the same motor or the 2.0l im going to swap my 1.6l to 2.0l y dont u do that and u will feal the diffrents
