Formula 1 Goodness

I wonder if that's because of the very thin walls they use in the headers or if there really is that much more heat being generated. I suppose heat is proportional to the amount of fuel used and the completeness of combustion. Since emissions are a consern with high combustion temps, and since F1 does not have an emissions regulation, does the F1 burn hotter? Would that increases the chance of detonation of a high compression engine? I wish there was someone out there willing to share this kind of info about these engines.

Maybe if I was looking for info about pushrod V-8's racing engines I'd have better luck...
