anyone have any problems with this.. i am...skips on bumps..
is there any fix for this? besides replacement.

doubt it, but i thought id ask.
thanks,

I have had a few head units that have done this from Kenwood to Clarion and I could never fix it so I wouldn't waste your time.

With the price of head units now being so cheap I would just drop a couple hundred on a double-din with blue-tooth built in for hands-free phone calls as well.

Mine started doing that about 4 years ago, and cleaning helped at first, but it became a progressively terminal issue. I was intimidated by replacing the unit with an aftermarket at first, but it's really not that bad if you're mechanically inclined. I simply purchased an inexpensive cd player, and spent some extra on replacing the stock speakers (highly reccomended). I'm not ashamed to say that I bought my stuff from Crutchfield. I probably could have gotten a better value, but I valued the simplicity of having predetermined kits available for easy retrofitting. The wiring diagrams just take some patience to sort out, but otherwise it's pretty straightforward. I spent less than $200 and it sounds better than the stock unit did.

kerok, any specific suggestions?

I have had this deck for about a year or so and I love it. It's super cheap for a double-din deck that has built-in Bluetooth.( It uses a small mic for the hands-free that needs to be mounted, mine is above my rear view mirror with the wire running underneath the headliner.)

The deck doesn't have many bells and whistles but it has complete color change control so you can match the color of your cluster and heat controls, or switch it up to something you like.

Solid all 'round deck for the price.
