E-brake on & daytime running lights still on

Hey all

Just picked up a 02protege 2.0L stock (Canada) with day time running lights DRL

My problem is that "when the E-brake is on, the DRL should be off ", but they stay ON

Has anyone run into this before and what did you do?

Day time runing lights stay on they're not the same as low/ high beams.

Check your brake fluid

First off sorry about the delay & the brake fluid is up.
I did find out that there is a switch/sensor close to the E-brake that should turn off the DRL when the E-brake is on.
I'll be checking this to see if its a repair or replacement.
