"brand" of factory struts

now ive read that the kyb struts are an "oem replacement" for our cars, but are they the ones that come with the car? when putting on new endlinks this weekend i noticed that the struts said KYB on them which is making me think now that they could have been replaced prior to me buying the car at 75k miles.

so do the factory struts say KYB on them or have mine already been replaced by previous owner?

I didnt see kyb when i pulled mine out, but that was a while ago. I was under the impression that they were made by tokico.

that's what came out of my 02 P5 when i swap in my Eibach Pro-kit. I got the car brand NEW.
