what do you guys use to combat lens flair? I get wicked spots all over my pictures from the stupid sun all the time. I have a UV filter on there, and when I remember to take that off, it gets slightly better, but still...

lens hood, not shooting into the sun, etc

Just don't shoot towards the sun!! Problem solved. Keep the sun at your back. Unless you want the lens flair for effect then you shouldn't have to worry about it.

Lens hood & use your hand to shield the sun.
