6 auto trans fluid change?

Ok I've searched myself to frustration, how much fluid does the 04 mazda 6 take? It's an 04 4 cylinder with an auto trans. I keep getting all the info for the MS6 and people having issues with the clunk or shifting issues but not fluid change info. How much, so far I got it takes mercon 7.6 qts but that's for an empty transmission.

not sure but if you are in a rush call up autozone, I believe they can look up the quantities needed

why not just measure what you take out and put in the same amount?

cause he probably just dropped it into a bucket full of other fluids already lol

oh, i assumed he had not drained it yet...i thought he was just doing research before he actually changed his fluid

I haven't even had a chance to see the car, they texted me and I wanted to get supplies since it'd probably get done in the late evening.

I thought it was an 04 but it's an 06? I don't know but at least they both use the same fluid. Rami told me it's 5.5 qts. Thanks guys. Oh "and knowing is half the battle".
