2021 CX-9 Stuck centre console button

My ‘back’ button in the centre console is stuck down. I’ve tried using a pin to free any debris but doesn’t change anything.

Not sure where to start with removing the covering (if that becomes necessary).

Can anyone suggest any tips on how I can can unstick it, or how to remove covering?

I actually just fixed something similar on my 2015 6.

Take a swiss army knife or something similar, and gently pop the button out. I wiped around the bottom part of the button which goes into the console, and upon inserting it back in, it was no longer stuck. give it a try!

Electrical Contact Cleaner may help if the button has gunk on it and won't harm the switch contacts.
