I've answered before but now I'm 41 years old...last post I was 40....I also have a miata and I definitely speak out on that forum!

I have the passenger side dash rattle or creak...plus the drivers seat creaking...it drives me nuts...It sounds like I'm sitting on an old chesterfield.

Mine does not work while the car is running....I tried to unlock the hatch but ended up having to turn the car off first.

Yeah mine does that too. I noticed it the second day I had the car. I have heard that it is normal..mine is more like a high whistling sound. I do not have a roof rack, and it's not coming from the moon roof..It sounds like its coming from within the engine or somewhere in the front.

I drove a 2001 Honda Civic as a company car and it only had the one speed intermittent wiper..and of course my miata does too.

Ok Ok...I just liked the way the US OEM roof rack looked....the Canadian roof rack is made by Thule...and it is very useful...I just don't like it. I don't even need a roof rack but....Ahhh forget it.!!

Ahh...I just called the Mazda Dealership to see if they would install the US roof rack...They cringed. They have done ONE install and they hated it....took them over 4 hours. And then the roof could leak...I think I will pass on the US roof rack. Thanks all the same. But Geez it looks nice!

Do I need your strips? I notice that US P5's without roof racks have strips running along the top where the rack sits. But they are big strips! Would they bolt onto my P5? Or would I have to drill new holes.

I have cloth in my P5 but the cloth seats in my miata were worn, faded and stained kind of...not by me. So vinyl was the cheapest and it looks good...it doesn't get that hot here in Victoria. Maybe mid 70's in the summer.

How much would you sell your rack and strips for?

Is there absolutely NO WAY a US roof rack will fit on a Canadian P5? Even if I got the side rails? Is the top of the car a different shape or something? I love the US roof rack because it is so streamlined. Anyone know??

Is vinyl that much hotter than leather? I had leather seats with my 1961 MGA and they were hot hot in the summer...as hot as Victoria gets anyway....vinyl , leather. what's the dif.??
