There is an alternative 5th gear with lower rpm. I think it was from a 626 or probe but only dropped the rpms by around 300. You don't have to open the trans, I think maybe some people did it without even pulling the transmission. This is all from memory from years ago so I may be a little off.

Just stick your hand under the cushion and it will pop free, it is just snapped in place.

Maybe I should do it to my front wheel arches so they match the back ones, and do the rocker panels since are a little rusty too. Then my car will have a style instead of just being another rust bucket.

I have KYB struts and mounts, they are supposed to be similar to stock. However, check the rear end-links. I had a creeky noise in the rear and it was the end-links.

OP said he hooked up stock tweeters. A sub will sound fine off a multi channel amp if it is matched for the power. They have very limited power compared to monoblock/sub amps so you obviously can't be running a high power sub. His current 8" sub can handle up to 250w, but is being supplied...

I would disconnect the stock tweeters. The speakers are 3-ways which means they already have 2 tweeters on the speaker that are way better than the stock ones. Also the headunit is designed to run at 4 ohms, wiring in extra speakers will change that. If you wired them in series it increases...
