    2008 CX-9 Issues and Questions

Got spare key. Mazda dealer is not optimistic that sole 'faulty' key can be cloned. If this goes wrong then whole car will be immobilised. Question: if the car is immobilised can the 'immobiliser' be swapped out - no doubt at great cost?

    2008 CX-9 Issues and Questions

Thanks for all your help thus far. Last question. There definitely seems to be communication in one direction. When I press on the black buttons on the external door handles, the key fob blinks. This seems to suggest that either the smart key isn't transmitting or the immobiliser isn't receiving

Not sure but it's the OEM key. Part of the plastic is damaged. Maybe that's the cause. Thanks anyway.

Help me - what am I doing wrong? When I use the key, the dashboard lights up like a Catherine Wheel but the engine doesn't turn as the immobiliser disables it.

    2008 CX-9 Issues and Questions

My trusty steed is getting old but still needs one more trans-continental journey to avoid the catching COVID in those flying petri-dishes ;) Two questions, and I apologise, if they have been posted elsewhere. 1. Our one remaining working key is playing up. Sometimes it disables the...

    Which Fuse/Fuse Box?

Hi. Three warning lights appeared in quick succession: TCS, Park Brake & Anti-Skid. I think that they are all linked to a similar fuse/relay. The owners manual doesn't mention any of these in it's fuse map diagram. Any help gratefully received?

Replacement Windshield for 2009 CX-9 GT

Hi. We got a 20cm stone crack and the insurers are coughing up for a replacement windshield. They have found one that looks likes it fits but the label says "2010 Onwards". As far as I know they were no changes to the windshield between 2009 and 2010. Can anyone confirm this? Many thanks

Need New Key Made + Can Anyone Identify This Part

Thanks Ceric, we did try a blank key from Ebay with a little song and dance with the two existing keys. Sounds like a trip to the dealer.

Need New Key Made + Can Anyone Identify This Part

Hi! Long Time Cx-9 Owner here.... ...but haven't been on this forum for a couple of years. Background: Bought 2009 Cx-9 in US and imported it in Europe where it has limited support. Problem 1: We have two keys. One of them doesn't work properly (even with replacement batteries) in that it's...

Thanks for the information, especially the removal of the arm. Makes putting the blade in much easier.

    Rear Window Wiper Size

Hi. Dumb question but can anyone tell me the size in cms for a replacement blade. The anti freeze mixture has disolved the current one to a useless pulp. Thanks in advance

3 child seats in 2nd row?

If the question was for me, I might have left you confused. We had rear facing seats behind driver and center console. The passenger side was left empty for parents who needed to attend. Hope this makes sense.

    2010 CX-9 Oil Leak

We had transmission leak in March this year I'm not sure it is the same think as I'm sure ours was caused by a seal fracturing in the severe winter. When we came back to the airport LT car park, I could smell burning (something was dripping onto the cat). Two months later, a grounding noise...

3 child seats in 2nd row?

Rear Facing Car Seats For your children's safety I'd go as follows: - 2 rear facing car seats in 2nd row (left & center). Most countries recommend that children up to 4 years of age face the rear. Their heads are disproportionately heavier to their body and whiplash (well I don't want to go...

    2007 CX-9: Transmission Failure?

No my apologies. English and American, two similar cultures divided by language. One more observation, does the thermometer takes its readings from the engine or the whole unit. There has been no sign of overheating (or burning).

    2007 CX-9: Transmission Failure?

PPS: I first noticed this smell after leaving it in an airport carpark for 3 weeks in one of the coldest winters on record (-25 C/-13 F). Could that have resulted in a broken seal?
