What you don't understand is this is not a "regular" zoom zoom sticker that you get from Mazda dealers. This is a "black out" sticker that allows the brake light to show through the sticker and illuminates the zoom zoom. See the picture and you'll see what I mean.

Thank you I have had my CX-7 for a year and didn't know that my car had this option. I have the regular "switch blade" key and it works. Hold down the unlock button on the second push and my windows and moon roof open. Wouldn't you think that they would tell you about this in either the manual...

It was an F150 pickup. The most damage was done by a towhook on the front bumper. It is what punctured the tailgate. The tailgate will not open at all. It is totally trashed. It will need to be replaced. As far as the paint . I don't know anything about good paint or bad paint. It is shattered.

As far as I know she had insurance. I have to go Monday to pick up my copy of the accident report. It was so cold and windy yesterday that the officer took our information and let us go so that we didn't cause another accident sitting in the road.

Well... My new CX-7 is now a damaged CX-7... I got rear ended yesterday. You can actually see inside the back of the car with the hatch closed. I don't dare open the hatch because I am afraid it will not close again. (bike)

I wish my car did have the autolock feature once you start to drive. I like that feature. Unfortunately it is not on the CX-7.

CXRabbit... You are absolutely correct. I tried it this morning and it worked perfectly. I was missing the "tap the brake" step. Thanks for filling me in. My mystery has been solved.

You can tell your dealer that it definately does happen. I have had it happen twice. You are not the only one.

No , I don't have the smart key feature. I actually have a remote car starter. Both times it has locked on me it was after I had started it with the remote and then put the key in the ignition and was cleaning snow or frost off of my car when the doors auto locked. Usually they will not lock...

I have had a problem with my doors automatically locking even when I have the key in the ignition. I have always had cars that would not lock the door when you have the key in the ignition. I have 6000 miles on my CX-7 and have had the smell at least 4 times recently. I had the vehicle in the shop today and they were unable to find anything that could cause the smell. It is very weird and hard to figure out. If anyone else has this problem and finds the reason for it please post it...

I had the same problem with the burning smell. It smelled like burning rubber to me. It was so bad the first time I had to roll the window down. The smell was strong. I took it to the dealer and they couldn't find anything. It has happened several times since. I am bringing it back to the garage...
