I had to disconnect mine because it kept blowing the fuse. That was a problem because the fuse also runs the stereo.

I got the bosch sensor and the wires were different. I think the new one had 2 grays a black and a white, and the old one had a blue instead of the other gray (something like that) but there is a reference guide on the paper in the box that tells what goes where...wasn't bad.
