    Full Cargo Liner

How much does the Mazda liner cost? I might be canceling my order for the other liner...

    Full Cargo Liner

For those that are interested in a cargo liner, I searched high and low for a cargo liner custom fit for the CX-5 that also covers the seat backs. I have a lab that sheds like crazy and my seatbacks look like the inside of a dog crate. Turns out there is a company that makes a custom liner for...

Roof Rail and Cross Bars Question

A couple weeks late to this thread, but i posted about my experience using the mounting points in the CX-5's roof, that are under the rain gutters. See my post here: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123813925-Roof-Racks&p=5975775&highlight=#post5975775

Can a Mt bike or road bike fit inside standing, with front wheel removed?

As the others have said, doubtful unless you take off the front wheel and drop/remove the seat. And then your bars may hit the glass, so you would need to turn the bike around. Or just lay the bike flat on its side (front wheel will also need to come off). Or, get a hitch or roof rack. The CX-5...

Snow Driving with the CX-5, with and without snow tires (Hakkas) [long]

Thanks for the write-up. I live down the road in Denver and am still using the stock tires - with 25,000 miles on them. They still have some life left but they may not make it through the winter. I've been debating on getting another set of all-seasons or doing the spare winter wheelset thing...

Engine cut out while climbing mountain pass

Glad you didn't have any issues. Keep an eye on it, and if anything happens, come here and tell us about it!

Engine cut out while climbing mountain pass

For those that are still interested… My dealer did a software flash, and I have yet to experience the problem again. The software flash is a “temporary fix” according to Mazda and something more long-term is in development. My dealer tech said that they aren’t really allowed to mess with the...

Engine cut out while climbing mountain pass

This just happened to me again, except this time the AT and engine lights came on too, and stayed on after I restarted. Very frustrating. This car is going back to the dealer ASAP. I wasn't even in manual mode, and i was on a very gradual climb. I hope this is just a software reflash issue as...

Engine cut out while climbing mountain pass

I agree. I really like the CX-5, but it has definitely had some new-model gremlins.

Engine cut out while climbing mountain pass

It was an interior light I believe. That, or some of the interior electronics (stereo?) managed to stay on. The battery was totally drained. I was gone for about 3 hours and got back to a dead car.

Engine cut out while climbing mountain pass

Just got a call back from the dealer. Here is what they think happened based on the computer codes. The battery died a few months ago because I left a light on. Had it jumped, and all was fine. However, the alternator in these cars does not recharge the battery. It just gives it enough juice...

Engine cut out while climbing mountain pass

While climbing a mountain pass on I-70 in Colorado (Vail pass, for those that are curious) on Sunday night, I lost power in my CX-5. It was pretty cold, maybe 10 degrees, and the road was somewhat covered in snow. Because the CX-5 has trouble getting up the I-70 mountain passes above 50 mph, I...

    iPhone 5

I've been having the call-answering problem too. I have a new iPhone 5, and I can make calls over bluetooth fine, but I can't receive calls. I have to Transfer to Handset, and then I can hear the caller through my phone, and then I transfer back to vehicle, and I can talk over bluetooth.

    New issue...wont start

My battery died again (second time). I'm pretty sure I'm not leaving anything on. This is kind of frustrating. I'm having it towed to my Mazda dealer so they can see the car in the state I see it - totally dead.

    bluetooth connection problems?

I'm having all kinds of problems with my bluetooth. Half the time it won't even connect, or it takes forever to connect, or the steering wheel/nav screen controls will not control the music. Pressing next or back does nothing, and I have to go to my phone to skip songs. I have a Samsung Galaxy...

    CX-5 Roof Racks

It's only been on a few days so I haven't noticed a MPG difference yet. Right now I'm at 32 MPG average (AWD, mostly highway). The wind noise is pretty annoying, and it's not even worth opening the sunroof when there's a bike on the rack because it's so loud. I guess it's the price you pay for a...

    CX-5 Roof Racks

Sure, I will post pics tonight. The pic above is not what I have though. I did not get the OEM rails with Thule cross bar. I got Thule towers with Thule cross bars. If you get the Thule towers, there is no need for the OEM rails.

    CX-5 Roof Racks

For those that are interested, the Thule US website now lists a fit kit for the CX-5, and.... surprise surprise, it's the same as nearly every other Mazda, including my old 2006 3 hatchback. Thankfully, I kept the rack, and it's a direct fit onto the CX-5. I just had the widen the tower spacing...
