Just an update. My son has been daily driving this thing for some time now and everything is fine. The finish is still fine too, no rusty looking mess yet.

We keep small log books in all our vehicles. All maintenance and mileage gets logged. Just log it.

If it's a real FS-ZE you need to be running premium fuel also.

Actually a coolant temp sensor malfunction can cause all sorts of driveability issues. If fluid is full and looks good, I'd start with that.

I seem to be having trouble finding carpet specifically for the P5, besides overpriced OEM. Anybody know if the sedan carpet will work?

I am 2 hours south of you MrGiggles in Mountain Home. My son's FS-Ze swap is also running just fine on the stock ECU. You will need to run premium fuel though because of the higher compression.

We just had a noise similar to whatt you describe on my son's P5. It was worn out front wheel hub bearings.

Pics on the car. The rotors came in fully coated and the pads wear it off the braking surface. The rest is supposed to keep looking good.

Well, my son's P5 had a nasty shimmy while braking due to a warped front rotor. All pads looked good but I figured if we gotta do brakes let's just do all of them. After reading some good reviews on a couple other forums I decided for the money we'd give them a go...
