Yeah, you don't need one. If you really must, invest in a bit more patience and a $10 stopwatch. I just let it idle for at least 30 sec (according to manual), but probably average closer to 1-1:30s with the stopwatch.
Instead of waffling about going full-bore replacement mount, why don't you try the Corksport RMM inserts first?

At $35, it's worth a try, and they're not that harsh compared to the full replacement mounts.
I just installed the JBR stage 2 shift kit on my MS3 and all I can say is that it makes the zoom-zoom so much funner! (And I still haven't even put the bushings in) Thanks James!

For max turbo sound, go with a metal TIP (like a PG inlet or the Corksport). I have the Corksport TIP and I accelerate just to hear the turbo spool!
Maybe an aftermarket wastegate too, to let everyone know that you're so fast that you let off the throttle to give them a chance...
