2004~2008 Mazda3 Clunk when accelerating from stop and slowing down

Thank you, it was the bottom motor mount. Apparently, it was banging against the subframe (?) everytime I accelerated since the subframe threads were stripped out by the previous owner.
Yikes. So what is the fix?

Might try to tap a bigger thread. Would mean enlarging the mount hole though. I don't know what else I could do...
So it turns out, after having all the motor mounts replaced and the bottom thread fixed, it made the car vibrate less but the noise is still there.

The best recommendation I could give you is to have a mechanic check all front suspension components for play. if everything is tight, and it's just some bushings causing play, forget about it.

i heard a clunk. diagnosed as an endlink. replaced. i drove one day with no clunk. one day. then it returns.

the other end link was diagnosed. replaced.

then a control arm ball joint.

then... sway bar bushings? mechanic said they could not find anything else.

and now recently, both rear end links.

I just live with it. car handles fine.
