WTF poor gas mileage

so, coming form a guy that knows little abou tcars, how do you reset the ECU?
-remove the negative battery terminal
-press brakes/horn to clarify that the circuit has been drained

usually wait about 10 seconds after holding the brake and/or horn so that any capacitors in the system aren't holding a charge.

brake lights / horn drain any capacitors. That's why you turn them on.

I just drove a 570 mile trip. Checked mileage on one tank from refill to refill. Drove steady between 60 and 65 mph, mostly flat terrain, S.C. to DE with cruise control. Got 33-34 mpg on that.

I run Mobil 1 5W-30 EP, Redline MT-90 in the 5-speed transaxle and had new Kumho tires inflated by the book with a digital tire gage checking pressure.

I use a valve extender (lets the pump head seat nice), bicycle pump and digital tire gage for all road trips. Nobody's gonna mug me at at an air pump :)
