not really a straight 'jdm' thing as it was available from the dealer as a factory add-on. Same with the skirts and rear lip.

...just that no dealers pushed the parts, or equipped any of their Protege's as new with the options. Mazda didn't have enough demand for them, so they discontinued the part. ...now everyone wants one.

I got mine about 5-5.5 years ago brand new in box from a member and paid way less than what the dealer was asking. Go figure how it's come full circle: Now there's a hell of a demand, and they're going for some hideous amounts of money.
