Will 265/50/20 tire fit the stock rim?

Well, it's time for a new set of all season tires for my 2008 CX-9 Grand Touring AWD with 20x7 rim. I'm thinking of getting the Yokohama AVID ENVigor (265/50/20). My concern is that the stock rim is only 7" in with and not sure if this is good idea or not. Has anyone install this size of tires on his/her stock rim. Thank you for your time and advice.

Cheers,
Will

If you go to the tire manufacturer website, they generally have allowable wheel width ranges for each tire size. I would go by their specs.

265/50/20 is too big (30.3" vs 29.6" stock).
265/45/20 is a bit smaller (29.3" vs 29.6" stock)
In either case, odometer will be off by a couple %.

Width-wise, it should fit but not in optimal rim range.

I replaced my OEM tires with hankook ventus ST 265/50/20. There's no rubbing or anything, ther's still some clearance there. The tire buldge out to the side a bit but hardly noticeable.
