I have a p5 that was burning a litre of oil every three days. Soo I decided to drop a new engine in her and I went from Fs9 to Fs6 and I noticed my vvt is not working on my new engine. Can u guys help me locate the silinoid so can check for any loose wires or anything that can stop it from working

I don't think your FS engines have a VVT solenoid. Mazda 1.5l ZL-VE engines with SVT have the VVT Solenoid on the valve cover held on by 2 bolts.

I know my fs9 had that Lil boost at 55 I'm hoping I got the proper swap

Question two this car is brand new to me and I'm a extream novice backyard mechanic (my first car) is it possible the previous owner did a mod to add vvt

It's not vvt its Vic's, it opens runners in the intake manifold

Awesome. I nvr new what to call it. If u guys can give me any links to help me with my p5 that would be awesome. I'm still going to.google but if u guys have any good reads please pass it along.

Thanks tweety and everybody for ur help
