When the sliding door fails to get locked in.

:
Mazda 5 GT
The most dreaded sound by a MAZDA5 2006 ... is the sliding door's 'easy closer'
trying to pull the door in and trying to lock it but fails. The door remains open
and there is no way you can close it... maybe if you use packing tape to tie
the door in.

The problem is: "The door 'Thinks' a door handle is still being 'pulled'. This happens
when the cable seen below is being 'hitched' or fails to return to the 'home position' and
gets 'stucked' in halfway. When you push the door to close, the easy closer motor will pull
the door in, it tries to 'lock it' - you will hear the sound, but then it does not lock it.

The solution is (to free the cable from being stuck.. maybe ). but I did not know so I
ended up opening the entire door.

I have a video of the 'adventure'.
