What kind of intake do you have in your P5?

Not wanting to beat a dead horse but i'd like to know what intake you have...CAI or SRI? i've been reading that SRI's don't perform well during hot weather but read that the perform well other than that. Since the weather in this state, more so the Hampton Roads area can be iffy at times...i'd like to know more of the pros and cons of both types of intakes before i make my purchase.

For example, noticed lack of performance with the SRI/CAI during hot weather? Car revs funny? idling? power?

It doesn't matter. It's the FSDE, You'll get the same gain (1-3 hp) with an ebay intake and an AEM driflow filter that you would with a 250 dollar injen intake.

oh ok, cool...learned something new today...i googled...lol...thanks...so guess it wouldn't matter if i pieced together my own intake and add a nice filter to it then huh?

That's the best way to go. AEM Dryflow is a very good choice. K&N isn't as good as people make it out to be.
