It's time for me to replace my thermostat, and I am not sure what the stock temperature rating of the thermostat is. Also is there anything that I should look out for when I replace it.
Couple things when you replace it:
1. Be sure to line up the bump on the new thermostat's gasket with the notch in the thermostat housing.
2. Clean the thermostat housing and housing cover well to ensure a good seal. Sometimes bits of the old gasket get left behind and can cause the new thermostat/gasket to leak.
I went around and around on this because there are a number of different ones on Rockauto, and then finally just bought mine from onlinemazdaparts and was done with it. It's OEM, so I know it's right. I would recommend going that route.
