What have you done to your non-mazda today?

Yeah, fog inside the helmet would be no fun in any conditions I'm sure, especially in the rain.

I've had a little when it's been cold, but just crack the face shield open to get a little extra air in and it clears up. Yesterday it was full on open it as much as I could without getting rain in my eyes and wipe it with a glove for a few seconds of semi-decent visibility. Not my favorite.

Yesterdays weather sucked man, can't believe you took the bike out.

Eh, it was fine in the morning, and the rain wasn't supposed to come through until after mid-night, per the forecast when I left the house. No biggie tho, it's not like the bike or I was going to melt ;)

Today I made it less retarded with the cunning use of this...

It fools the ECU into thinking it's in high gear, which prevents the ECU from cutting timing in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears, making it easier to move around without giving it fistfulls of throttle at low speed.

Open sesame!

Gotta love super simple plug-n-play mods that work. Now if this damn rain would stop...

Speaking of, I pulled the visor off of my helmet to clean it and treat it with highly advanced dawn dish soap. Apparently, not a whole lot works better than that, and free is always good ;)

They sell this at SS Airsoft and it works for that very well. Perhaps this'll do for you.

Did some wheel swapping on the Bavaria last night. Two of the tires on the BBS' weren't holding air. Last time I drove it, I heard a noise from the passenger front. Upon inspection, 3 lugs were loose and 2 were very loose. When I took the wheels off, I noticed that there isn't much thread being used with those wheels. Not getting a very good feeling from that, I decided to swap wheels with the '72 5 spoke alloys that I have.

Probably not too bad. When you take the bearing assembly apart to change the rotors, everything is right there to get at them... at least for the fronts. I wouldn't mind doing it but it's far from the top of the priority list. These period correct wheels fit correctly...

Motoslider frame sliders. Cheaper and stronger than much of their competition (uses an engine mount bolt that goes all the way through the frame, instead of shorter frame mount bolts)? Sold. Looks kinda goofy from this angle, but fortunately they're black as is the bike's frame, so from just about any other angle they don't stick out nearly as much as they could on the silver framed bikes.

My mom was poking fun saying that now that I had then I'd never drop it. I said "yeah, that's kind of the idea" lol

Forgot to post these....

Got the S decaled up in the Indycar garb for the upcoming race and parades.

Was busy the other day First up... replaced the 2 remaining exhaust hangers with 4 brand new ones, courtesy of Jason at Nameless Performance.

Next, I replaced the rear springs with the B&G lowering springs that I had bought last year. Until now, I only did the fronts. Pretty easy to do, and didn't take much time.

Lastly, I scrubbed the hell out of the car. Like big time. With a soft bristle brush, and a bunch of degreaser, I went over the car twice. Did all the jambs under the hood and trunk. Following that, I hit it with some Corsa Car Care soap. Took it to the park nearby and snapped some shots.

Where to start?
Last Saturday, Jen and I went for our first 2-up ride... and then on Sunday we went for our 2nd :D.
Her thoughts? She loved it :D

Last week my new front tire came in. It needed it pretty badly when I bought the bike, and that was about 800 miles ago...

I went to jack up the bike, and had planned on putting jack-stands under the frame sliders. It's nice and stable, however I quickly found that my tallest jackstands weren't tall enough to reach the sliders. Oh bum... so what to do? Well, I could either buy a couple of huge jackstands, or I could buy the right thing. Cycle Gear had a front fork stand for $45 (usually decent ones are ~$100). Sold.

Got the front wheel off and dropped it off to have the new tire swapped on, on Monday:

Got the wheel back on, on Tuesday, and rode it to work today. It was a good day :)

Took a run to Road Atlanta to pick up our tickets for The Mitty this afternoon. I met up with some friends there to park and drop off my gear and needed a side-stand pad. And this was the only thing we could come up with (hah)
