What have you done to your Miata today?

In the process of doing a good ole' tune up (oil change, plugs, wires, flushing the cooling system). And if weather alows... maybe a bath!

oh yeah she sure needa a good scrubbin! and a fun tune up...hopefully soon before the weather gets too damn hot!

Or from what I've been encountering the past couple of days.....WIND!!!!
(burnout)
Kind of hard to get anything done when everything is getting blown around!!!

roll up your windows, and raise the top... wont feel any wind then ;)

I went on a Memorial Day getaway with the wife down to Marmaris.

Drove the Miata. Loved the drive...did it last year too...the car performed like a champ as usual. Highway driving suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks as everyone knows...did about 90-110 @ 4500 RPM...for about 1.5 hours. :/
But the driving excitement happened after the dreadful autobahn drive...the great mounatin roads. Planning on going back down later this year and hopefully I'll have my camcorder mounted on the cam mount. :)

Looks SOOOO much better and I won't be scalding my arms on the doors when it's out in the sun. And it only took about 10 minutes per side.

I also removed the rear suspension. Tomorrow we'll be making some 'tweaks' to the bump stops as Brett was getting on them this weekend in the rear. We're going to shorten them and make them a bit more progressive.

been slacking on the posting, but I"ve been working on the car slowly. I just swapped out some of the hosing with braided pcv, Diff fluid swaped to full synthetic and tranny fluid flushed and swapped to GM syncromesh. I also put a Blitz air filter and heatshield in place of the stock airbox.

parked mine in the garage today... and then took a friend's SPEC MIATA out for open lapping for my first ever day on a real race track...

more fun than I've ever had in my entire life, even tho I was the slowest guy at the track... by contrast it made autocross look like as much fun as watching golf on an old 10" black and white TV w/bunny ears.

Well, over the past few days, I did summa dis:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/L8Bcv8bUt0Q&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/L8Bcv8bUt0Q&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And then yesterday replaced the passenger side axle. It developed a tear in the inner boot somewhere around the Atlanta national tour and is kinda full of crud and grit, so a used axle was put in it's place (hey, you can't beat $25 a pop).
