What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

car goes in for dyno tune this thrusday. can't wait!! after adding downpipe/highflow cat & fmic the car hasn't been running right
 
ya sure its pretty much foolproof just spray it on even and do about 3-4 coats and it will come out good here are pics of my plasti-dipped parts:

Nope! Actually looking at a LS3 swap with a small cam. I'll upgrade the clutch to an LS7. This setup should put me up at the 450rwhp mark.
 
Taylor..u really popped it? On purpose or it just let go? That sucks for real man. That swap would be nice. Cams....headers, full exhaust, nice intake and a tune. That will be some nice power.

If you want more...toss in a 50-70 shot direct port. Zing!

Yes, unfortunatly. It didn't blow however. I was cruising up my street that morining and came up to a stop sign and put the clutch in and in nuetral. The motor died. Tried to start it up. Nothing. The starter wouldn't turn it. Couldnt budge it. Had my dad drive up the street and give me a jump thinking it was the battery. Nothing. So pushed it home. Got a new battery in. Still nothing. The starter was turning but it couldnt budge the motor. As if it was locked up. so i bumped the starter a few times and it finally got turning. Took a few seconds of the starter turned it for it to fire up. Then it idles fine. No unusual sounds. Oil pressure was normal. then after about 15 seconds it dropped from 40psi to 19. I turned it off then back on to make sure the starter wasnt bad. It started right up. Oil pressure held at 19 then dropped to 0.

Guys on the vette forum told me to check the oil and filter before I do anything. The oil was metallic with aluminum flakes in it. And here was the filter.....

Until this arrives..... I managed to find a brand new LS6 long block a guy was selling. I steered away from the used ls2 and ls3. Compression was a tad low on the ls3 and the ls2... who knows. Atleast on this I know it has never been started. Its 405hp stock. Bolted up to my headers and intake, I should be right where my cammed ls1 was. 390rwhp.

Threw the snow setup on, installed new brake line, bled brakes (Super Blue FTW), lubed RB sway bushings, fixed exhaust leak.

Shot a spark plug out the head the other day, replaced with a new NGK on Friday.
 
Did you stick with black, or do something custom? And, yes, the factory boot is really bad.

Stayed with Black...my original one had a tear in it. Got a sweet Italian leather one from England for $10 plus shipping on ebay. I believe the seller was Topgaiters

Need a new one to go w/my custom created 'Fatty Blank' MEGA weighted knob that I got from a vendor on msf.

Also...front right CV joint failure. Ugggggh. Garaged until after thanksgiving.
