What are these plugs for?

New 2007 5 owner here. I'm probably missing the obvious here, but what are these plugs for? They were in the glove box when I bought the car. And for the life of me, I can't figure out what part of the car I'm looking at in the diagram!

I had the same problem. The diagram is of the bottom of a car. Those are plugs for the undercarriage. I was told the holes were anchor points for transportation from the factory. I just threw them away.

I advise putting the plugs in the holes -- keeps water out.

There's plenty of other holes under there to let the water in and out. I don't see how those will do anything but trap dirt and keep it in. You can do what you will, but around here, if sand gets in there (and it will get in there) and sits, it will hold moisture and guarantee to rust it out.
