Weird radio issue - won't work, won't turn off (without key!)

Other than it being hot and humid today, I don't know what could cause this. Our 1.5 year old Pioneer radio stopped working properly the fourth time we drove the car today. It turns on, but nothing works except we can change between source. Now, the weird part is that when we turn the car off, and take out the key, the radio stays lit, power to the radio isn't cut.

Has anyone seen this before? I can find nothing else that isn't functioning normally or still has power after the key is removed.

After a few hours with the battery disconnected, it works fine now. We'll see how it does, I'm still interested to hear opinions.

It's possessed. You'll need a young priest and an old priest....... also a really long flight of stairs.

Today my CD player wouldn't play. When I oushed to CD button, it wouldn't even switch over from radio. I drove to the store, came back out and started it, and it worked fine. Not the first time I've had issue
With the radio unit.
